— Our story

How it started, how it's going

What began as informal tutoring between university students in Lebanon quickly grew into something bigger. Students across the Middle East were struggling to find reliable academic help — especially in specialized subjects at the university level.

We saw the gap: existing platforms treated tutoring like a marketplace, with no quality control and no accountability. So we built Java Assistant — a platform where every tutor is verified, every session is tracked, and students are matched based on their actual academic needs.

Today, we operate across 9+ countries, supporting multiple school systems and universities. Whether a student in Kuwait needs help with calculus or a student in France needs support for their IB exams, we connect them with the right tutor.

"We didn't want to build a marketplace. We wanted to build the tutor every student deserves to meet."

— What we stand for

Four principles, no exceptions

Quality first

Every tutor is vetted through transcripts, interviews, and minimum GPA requirements before joining the platform.

Built for the region

We support multiple school systems, universities, and languages across the Middle East, Europe, and the US.

Personal matching

Students are matched with tutors based on subject, university, language, and availability — not random assignment.

Trust & transparency

Session tracking, tutor ratings, and admin oversight ensure accountability at every step.
